Within my Fine Art practice I am heavily interested in objects and artifacts, I enjoy exploring their life histories in detail. The juxtaposition between the archaic and the modern is one of the main features of my work. This combined with ideas of the importance of ritualistic function, and how individuals create meaning through objects, is something I'm heavily interested in. I love starting a new project, experimenting with how different marks and strokes on the page or for fabric can form intricate drawings. This passion inspired me to launch Handmade by Emma Bayes in 2017.
“Love Emma's work! This looks amazing alongside my other purchase and the detail on the fish is incredible. She delivered them really quickly and the whole process was really simple.”
